VRE Cares: Compassion Through Community
Welcome back to your cozy corner of leisurely reads, your blog haven, your go-to for entertainment source of entertainment along the VRE line… welcome back to May’s edition of VRE VIP News! This month, I’m thrilled to formally introduce the latest endeavor from our marketing & communication department: VRE Cares!
VRE Cares is an embodiment of our commitment to giving back to our local communities. At VRE, our sense of community is insurmountable, and we’re dedicated to making a positive impact where we live, work, and travel. VRE Cares aims to strengthen the bonds within our neighborhoods by addressing local needs head-on and supporting initiatives that nourish the well-being of our community members. This initiative isn’t merely about completing tasks or ticking boxes; it’s an opportunity to create lasting impacts and foster real change.
If you’ve been keeping up with us on our Instagram (shameless plug) then you might have already caught a glimpse of our very first volunteer work with Project Be The Good and their free little food pantries. These pantries are a vital component of Be the Good Project’s mission to combat food insecurity across the DMV region. Each pantry provides vital emergency access to unexpired, non-perishable food to those in need. Learn more about Be The Good Project and its mission here.
Right here at our headquarters, we recently hosted a successful food drive where we collected over 100 canned & non-perishable goods from our compassionate staff. These generous donations were then used to stock 10 little free food pantries around the DMV area! That’s twenty bags of groceries to address food insecurity in our area and we’re proud of that.
Our work with Project Be the Good has been nothing short of inspiring and fulfilling. As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue our effort through VRE Cares. Be sure to keep up with our Instagram and of course here in our exclusive blogs for updates on our initiative. If you’re as passionate about giving back as we are, consider signing up to fill a local pantry and join us in making a positive impact where it’s needed most. It’s in VRE fashion to care. Catch you next month!
